Gitzo Mountaineer Series 1 Carbon Fiber Tripod GT1541

It has served me well, however, I'm venturing into wildlife photography that requires a beefier rig: moving to the Gitzo series 5. This Gitzo is, in my opinion, better suited for the person that wants to hike the mountain trails and needs sturdy, light weight support. Specs say this is a great tripod for up to 200mm lens combo.

I used a DSLR with Battery Grip and a 70-200mm zoom. Search the web for more details on this tripod as you can still get some reviews and big camera store writeups. Maximum height with center column down. 17.60 lb (7.98 kg). 2.50 lb (1.13 kg). Included in this sale is the GT1541.
