Barely-used, the Gitzo G1228 Traveler carbon-fiber tripod is an ultra-compact, four section support with a 180° leg folding system that allows its legs to reverse-fold around the center column which, in turn, permits dropping attached cameras to 36.5 cm for low-angle or even macro shots. Tripod legs are made from Carbon eXact tubing that extend to a height of 122.5 cm while supporting up to 10 kg of equipment, including most 35 mm and medium-format cameras. The G1228, which weighs only 3.40 lbs, includes a shoulder strap. The Gitzo GH1780QR Center Ball Head with quick release is a lightweight magnesium ball head that supplies maximum support while providing smooth rotation, rapid camera mounting, minimum drift angles, a low center of gravity and, most importantly, secure attachment for expensive photo gear. Also included is a Velbon 3-way PH-260 pan and tilt head with instruction manual and tool kit. Heavy and solid, the pan head, made of aluminum and magnesium, firmly holds up to the heaviest cameras without creep while facilitating horizontal, vertical and panning motions along three axes.
